A bouquet of stargazer lilies might lift your spirits midway through a long, gray winter. This upward-facing Oriental lily cultivar was a breakthrough in lily breeding when it was developed in the late 1970s. The flowers have a strong, pleasant scent that is too potent for some people, and the orange pollen quickly stains skin and clothing, but a photograph of a bouquet has none of those potential drawbacks.
