"De-stressing." A short video of a coastal river in late summer.

Pandemic, financial concerns, protests, upcoming election. We need a way to unwind. Getting out in nature—whether it's sitting on a bench in a local green space, tending to a small garden, or sitting on the bank of a river watching the water flow—may help. We share a recent outing.

Recently, we at Iris Arts had the opportunity to spend time time at a river in a forest. The day was warm, but not unpleasantly so. The typical upriver breeze kept conditions very comfortable. We decided to eat our sandwiches on the river bank.

After eating, we fell into an easy silence and simply watched the river flow by. The breeze rippled the water's surface, small islands of moss slowly flowed by. Our thoughts wandered, we were relaxed and content.

This sort of place has an undeniable therapeutic effect, so we thought we'd share what we could of the moment.

Enjoy.
